Small Town Glamour Girl Christmas

a Small Town Romance series novel

Julie loves her small town life. She loves her family run Inn. This much she is sure about--especially after her misadventure as a big city big glamour model parading as an Audrey Hepburn look-alike a few years back.
But what she's not sure about is if she really loves her boyfriend Neil. Especially after Jack returns to town for the big Christmas celebration.
Julie and Jack had a special connection a long time ago as kids, but does he remember that time--does he even remember her? They were young and sheltered then. Now that they're all grown up, Julie is all too aware that Jack is a billionaire city boy from London. The magic and charm of the small town Christmas rekindles the connection, but Julie is uncertain if she and her small town life would ever be enough for Jack.
What chance does a small town glamour girl have at a romance with a big city billionaire boy?

Besides writing, she loves UConn basketball, NFL football, kittens and hanging out with friends and fellow readers in real life and on Facebook talking about books, romance and life.

She goes to the gym. More or less. She is the president of her local Chocoholics Anonymous chapter (after a long-standing denial and spectacular failure to control her permanent addiction).

Her writing desk overelooks one of many New Hampshire lakes where she lives with her husband and cat, and while their two sons are off on their own life adventures.

She may be glamorous, but she has her priorities straight. I enjoyed reading this story. There were a few unexpected surprises included.

Very sweet story about a small town who went to the big city and made it big, but decided to come back home way from the bright lights of the modeling world. Nice romance!

This one just didn't do it for me. There is nothing wrong with the story. There is a good plotline and the story would vastly appeal to older teens and young adults. I just found the characters to be immature. The hero didn't even do it for me. He seemed to hesitate to speak his feelings when he obviously was feeling them. He never acted on an impulse, etc. He was suppose to be this wealthy playboy from England yet he didn't fit the description to me. He couldn't even tell the current girlfriend "no thank you" even when he knew it was over.

The heroine was a very tall girl, 6', but waif thin and an Aubrey Hepburn look alike. She had gone to New York to be a model but found the scene not to her liking, drugs, sex, etc. so she returned home. She was a baker in a family owned Inn and seemed content to live there with her mother and their handyman cook, host, etc. a small town life and it suited her. The local banker has a romantic interest in her but yet she never commits or tells him no. She doesn't want to marry him but rather than telling him that she continues to leave him hanging. Not nice.

There are finances involved and her family may lose the Inn. His grandmother dies and leaves the ownership of the bank to townspeople instead of her grandson. He has money but that was a blow. It just didn't get there for me. I found that I really didn't care for the characters a great deal and I was having a hard time relating to the hero.

I would definitely recommend the book to teens or YA. But for me, I just couldn't get excited about it.

the story that is one of how a small town can experience the things of past .the people who live in small towns want to keep history.

This is a quick, light read. The writing is fine. The characters are basically likable, but they have irritating habits. Both the hero and heroine put off making important decision and stick with people they don't love. The heroine is supposed to be natural, lively and "sparky", but her thoughts show her to be insecure, high strung, and often immature. How much you enjoy this novel may depend on how you feel about her.

I quite enjoyed this. It is very easy reading. The story could have done with a bit of humour. Maybe some of the peripheral characters could have had a bit more to them as well. Plus there were no proper villains in it. But overall if you want a nice easy read, then you could do worse than this book.
