Sex Tape: A Sid Volke Detective Mystery Book One Kindle Edition
And every celebrity sex tape is a scandal waiting to go global.
America’s sweetheart is about to find this out the hard way.
Only her prissy publicist and a sleazebag private eye can stop a disaster before it ends careers and destroys lives.
Sparks fly as these oddball partners navigate the hallowed halls of high society, and the crusty underbelly of the porn industry, trying to locate an explosive piece of stolen property before the whole word finds out it exists.
Along the way, they learn that the content of this sex tape is so hot, some people are willing to kill for it.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2016This is a well written book with great plotting and characters; it is edited well and, in parts, laugh out loud funny. The bunny potatoes literally had my husband asking why I was laughing hysterically. I couldn't stop laughing to tell him.
Mr. Simmons, should you read this review, please write more novels. And for goodness sake, charge what you're worth! You're as good as some of my favorite authors (Harlan Coban, for one), you deserve to be paid fairly for your efforts. I got this as a freebie through my book lists and feel like I've ripped you off. I came back to buy everything else you've written. Alas...

- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2018A really fun romp about a porno tape, that gets stolen from a famous Hollywood star during her early career, threatens to make it into the porn industry for mass reproduction, and the attempts by her much-abused staff to retrieve it. Adventurous and funny. Great read.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2016I heard Shane was writing a novel on his blog and have been looking forward to it since. I received an advanced copy and consumed the novel the next day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Girl on film.
Enjoy this for the romp that it is. Full of sass and heaps of insider knowledge on the adult movie business. You may think you know how it is but this sordid and highly indulgent tale shines a light on what is still a taboo topic even in these enlightened times.
Set mostly in Montreal, the tale concerns a sex tape. Think Paris Hilton. Sure, that caused a stir. Did it really do any lasting damage? This time round though, people are dying. In some highly entertaining ways; so that helps.
Funny, outrageous and a breath of fresh air.
