Christmas Knight: A Holiday Novella (Louisiana Knights Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 334 ratings

Chivalry lives in the Sultry South!

Home health nurse Donna Ingraham is determined to give her elderly patient, Granny Chauvin, the kind of real Christmas tree she recalls from the past. Hatchet in hand, Donna sets out to cut down the perfect specimen from an abandoned property.

Only the place's brand-new owner, Jake Benedict, has earmarked the tree she's eyeing for his special family party. And if he remembers the fiery kiss they shared as teenagers, he's not letting on.

A freak accident involving Jake's motorcycle, a rabbit and that sharp hatchet makes Donna's first aid skill necessary. In return, Jake feels obliged to share his tree. Will he and Donna will be sharing something more by Christmas Eve?

Christmas Knight: A Holiday Novella by Jennifer Blake is a fairly short read, a great choice for those with limited time for reading. Ms Blake has gifted us with a well written book. The characters are fantastic. Donna and Jake's story is filled with drama, humor and sexy bits. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Jennifer Blake in the future. Christmas Knight is book 4 of the Louisiana Knights Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete story, not a cliff-hanger.

This is part of a series but a STANDALONE read with a HEA. It is set in Louisiana, part of the Benedict clan. It seems the whole parish is made up of Benedict relatives. This one is one of the last of the cousins to marry. The story is short but it connects him to his love.

Granny, a fixture in the town, has required the services of a live-in nurse. That nurse will become the next Benedict. The story takes place around Christmas as everyone gathers to celebrate the holiday. There are old memories from Granny that makes up part of the story and then her matchmaking makes up the rest. It is an interesting and fun read as the nurse makes her place in the current lives of this group. She was also a part many years ago but she thinks they have forgotten that time. Have they?

I would recommend this story. It is especially interesting if you have read about the lives of the other cousins.

I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 6/10/17

I just finished reading the fourth box of this series and have to say that all of th books were excellent! I had to keep reading until I had completed them all simply because I had to find out how it would work out for them all. They all bad special stories to tell and the men are not only larger than life, good to look at (deceptively), but true men as they thought about someone other than themselves. I loved all four books and stories and look forward to reading more books by Me. Blake.

They fell in love one night long ago but were too young. He made a choice to not take what she so willingly offered and she went away heart broken. Years later they reunited with the help of an old lady who used her injury to bring them back together. Jennifer Blake has used her skill as an author to bring this town to life with vivid characters and love. I would recommend this book and the series to all of those that believe in love and small towns.

Getting caught trying to steal a tree for Christmas is not the best way to rekindle an old flame, but that's what Donna was doing when Jake stopped her. Her mission was to make a wonderful Christmas for her 90-year-old patient she cares for. It seems Jake has a soft spot for "Granny," too. A plan comes together to make it the best Christmas, ever, for Granny and for them, too. Wonderful story. I loved it.

What an amazing series. I just love how the author took a classic, Camelot, and turned into a modern day tale of four southern 'Knights' finding their own love stories. The characters of this story are great. Jake and Donna made me laugh, cry and fuss at their stupid moments. I'm happy that I finally got to read the final story but sad at the same time that it's over. Well done, to the author.

Christmas Knight is a sweet story about providing a special Christmas for Chamelot's favorite Granny Chauvin. Along the way, Granny's nurse, Donna, and Jake Benedict get a second chance at happiness. Readers of the previous books in the series also get an update on other characters. This was a fun read to get one in the true holiday spirit.

Donna can't believe how unfortunate luck when she is sprung stealing a tree from a farm she thought abandoned. Normally probably not an issue, except this guy is the man that broke her heart when she was younger, the night she ended up leaving town, and the worse part is he doesn't seem to remember who she is. Jake can't believe it, Donna, the girl who's haunted his dreams all these years is standing in front of him, but obviously the kiss they shared didn't have the same impact on her as it did on him, because she seems to have forgotten who he is. As they both fight their attraction to each other, and the hurt that the other has forgotten them, they are conned into helping Granny get the best Christmas tree ever, and host a party that will lift her spirits.

This was a sweet story, some of the most beautiful thoughts are expressed as we listen to Granny reflect on her life without the men she loved so dearly. A fantastic read that will warm your heart
